John Lord III House Hotel
Original hotel built by John Lord III in the 1850s; used as boarding for quarrymen and vacationers. This was one of the most prominent buildings in Lordville for a long time. Later operated as a boardinghouse by Horton and Irene Lord.
The large wagon shed (now demolished) extended from the hotel, towards Warren Road. This long shed allowed storage of horses and carriages/buggys for visitors. Note the smaller building attached to the main hotel in some photos. Sometime after the 1903 flood, the wagon shed was converted into a vestibule for the front of the hotel. Some years later, the vestibule was removed and some windows added in its place.
