This was the site of one of the Erie Railroad Lordville Headquarters, both of which were located in Lordville. While far away from both downtown Lordville and Kilgour Spur, it was equidistant between the two and had a close proximity to the railroad. The manager of the railroad for Lordville was John Brown for some time.

The main headquarters were located in Lordville Station, with the Stationmaster living in close proximity to the station.
